We live in an area that values farming. It’s a ‘right to farm’ community, and there are a few farms in the area that have been here for many generations.

Our own lettuce got a slow start this year, so we’ve been happy to see lettuce at the farm stand. This head of lettuce is so beautiful we put it in a bowl of water on the counter and have been enjoying it both as food and as a bouquet.
