I like the idea of not putting anything on my skin that I couldn’t eat.
I don’t always manage that, but this sugar scrub is a step in the right direction. I made it using the lavender oil we started steeping about six weeks ago, but any oil will do. Three parts sugar to one part oil, I can’t say it looks like anything I want to eat, but it does a great job as an exfoliant and moisturizer.

How long will it keep?
Indefinitely, I would think. If you make a small amount – say 1 cup sugar, 2/3 cup oil – you’ll likely use it up pretty quickly in any case.
i’m sorry for sounding so ignorant but can you explain the process of steeping lavendar oil? would love to make this.
