One of the nicer eat-right-in-the-garden foods is the Snow Pea.
Sweet, crunchy, and juicy, they hit all the right spots for a snack when you need a break from weeding. If some make it into the house, they’re great in a stir fry, and if you harvest more than you can eat, they can be frozen, either in the pod or shelled.
Pick early and often, and you may see another round of flowers appear, a sign that more peas are on their way. A good thing since you can be sure more weeds will also be making an appearance.
